Music on Ocean Park: Fairview Branch Library Presents the Santa Monica Youth Orchestra

On Saturday June 24 the Fairview Branch Library hosted the Santa Monica Youth Orchestra (SMYO) as part of the library branch’s open house.

Inside the newly renovated community room of the Fairview Branch Library, the SMYO played to an intimate audience. The songs included “Tenor Madness” by Sonny Rollins, “Sakura” which is a traditional Japanese folk song, and orchestra rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Beat it.”
